Born in India, raised in Dubai and Canada, Ruchika Bindra is a passionate Canadian journalist and media enthusiast, holding a Master’s degree in Communication studies. As a proud South Asian, she published her master’s research on Indian television and the political hegemony created through soap operas. This innovative research was given a dean’s honorable mention in Ottawa University. Ruchika is an active member of the Canadian media industry, both on and off screen.

While working in media sales at the CBC, Canada’s National broadcaster, she got invited to host her own show #NoFilter, a millennial talk show on Rogers Cable Tv.#NoFilter aired live all across the GTA and Toronto and completed two successful seasons. Every week, Ruchika connected with millennials all over the city and with two successful seasons under her belt, she charmed viewers with her warm personality.

Ruchika has been seen in commercials for several brands, notably, the milestone campaign for Loblaws, Canada Turns 150. She has hosted several high profile events in the city, and is a guest host for North America’s largest & most popular South Asian Media brand, ANOKHI Media. Her most recent interview for ANOKHI Media during the Toronto International Film Festival with Bollywood star Abhishek Bachan, garnered a lot of attention and buzz!
